We are pleased to share that Sonovo has officially joined the British Society of Hearing Aid Audiologists as an Associate Member.
This association represents a commitment to responsibility within the wider hearing health environment.
Why this matters
Tinnitus lives in a unique space.
It is partly clinical, partly personal, and fully lived every day by the person experiencing it.
Many people encounter tinnitus long before they ever speak to a professional. They search online, try to sleep through it, adjust their routines, and quietly build coping strategies. By the time they reach a hearing care specialist, they already have a story, concerns, and expectations.
This creates a gap.
On one side sits clinical knowledge, structured guidance, and patient care pathways.
On the other sits daily reality, sleep disruption, concentration difficulties, and the need for practical coping methods.
Our goal is to help bridge that gap.
Working alongside professionals
By becoming part of the professional hearing care community, we are able to stay connected to how tinnitus is understood, discussed, and supported within clinical environments.
That connection matters because products should never exist in isolation from guidance.
It helps ensure that what we provide:
• Reflects real patient experiences
• Aligns with professional expectations
• Supports, rather than conflicts with, established advice
• Remains grounded in responsible communication
We believe relief tools should complement professional care, not attempt to replace it.
Staying grounded in real needs
Sonovo was built around a simple idea.
People do not just want information about tinnitus, they want ways to live with it.
Relief often comes from small daily adjustments. Sound enrichment at night. Gentle distraction during quiet moments. Consistency rather than complexity.
Being involved with the hearing care community allows us to keep those tools practical and relevant. It keeps development focused on everyday usability rather than theory alone.
Looking ahead
Associate Membership is not an endpoint. It is a starting point for listening and learning.
We want to better understand how people are supported in clinical settings, how advice evolves, and where everyday tools can genuinely help patients outside appointments.
Our aim remains unchanged.
Provide practical relief tools while remaining aligned with the wider hearing health community.
We look forward to learning, contributing where appropriate, and continuing to support people living with tinnitus in a way that respects both lived experience and professional guidance.
